THREE MATERIALS SEPARATION
All materials that need to be processed might be contaminated with ferrus and non ferrus metals. Therefore, it is needed to separate and clasify these different kind of materials found in every recycling and recovery operation. This is the reason why Grupo FEM has designed its Compact Line (LCFEM), a multitasking unit which porpuse means, easily and quickly, to separate three types of materials: ferrus metals, non ferrus metals and a the rest.
The LCFEM has multiple applications: processing of aggregates, glass, ceramic, wood, minerals, plastic; foundry, quemical or pharmaceutical industries; laboratories, research organizations and institutions… etc.
STRUCTURE AND WORK
The Compact Line comprisses a hopper, a vibrating feeder (AVFEM), a permanent rotary drum (TRPFEM), an Eddy Current separator (SMFEM), and two conveyors to finalize the process.
Firstly the materials, which are mixed, go from the hopper to the vibrating feeder that spreads the materials and eases the the rotary drum to accomplish the first separation. This way, the ferrus metals are cought and clasified by the magnetic drum.
The remaining materials fall onto the Eddy Current separator. Its rotor is designed to separate pieces ranged from 3mm to over 200mm. The induced Eddy Currents, produced by the rotor, make the non ferrus metals be repelled and fall on the second conveyor belt. The rest of the materials, not affected by the Eddy Currents, go down to the first conveyor belt.
Being 300mm its operating width, the LCFEM is designed to process up to a tonne of material per hour. These dimensions are perfect either for production lines which do not process large amounts of material, or organizations that need to accomplish analyses and tests.
However, the Compact Line features are able to be adapted to any quantity or material. Moreover, the speed of the SMFEM conveyor belt is ajustable as well to optimize the materials separation.
Last but not least, the equipment is fitted with standard bearings and transmission components in order to facilitate the LCFEM maintenance and replacement of its spare parts.
