The magnetism law is the key for this system to work.
This means, some materials are, in a natural way, capable of attracting ferric particles.
This system is supposed to work over a conveyor belt.
Its core is a magnet surrounded by a belt. When the ferric particles are caught by the magnetic block, they get stuck on the band whose purpose is to move the particles away for them be placed in a separate container.
This way, the overband is always clear and able to continue its job getting more ferric materials.
On top of that, because it is all about magnetism, the machine does not need any power supply to catch the materials. The only powe supply needed is for the engine to move the rotors and the band.
A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
Magnetic overbands are suitable to be installed at any materials management factory where many pieces of ferric metals appear within the material. For example, Solid Urban Waste (SUW) plants, aggregates, Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), scraps, old cars recovery plants… etc.
The magnetic overband size may be taylored according to the client´s requeriments. There main aspects to have in mind to decide which is the best model for the costumer, such as either the conveyor belt size and speed, the type of material, quantity, density, grain or the size, etc.
